Thomas (Tom) Henderson

Thomas (Tom) Henderson is an Associate with the Wireless Networks Division (WND) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) where he is responsible for developing network simulation models and software for 5G sidelink simulations. Prior to NIST, he was a Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) on a University of Washington Public Safety Innovation Accelerator Program (PSIAP) award on "Modeling, Simulation and Performance Evaluation for Future Public Safety Networks." He is the lead maintainer of the open-source ns-3 network simulation project and is a former Boeing Technical Fellow. He received both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Stanford University, and a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, all in Electrical Engineering.
