Yang Cai

Dr. Yang Cai is the head of Visual Intelligence Studio and Senior Research Scientist at University of California San Diego, specializing in machine vision and extended reality technologies. His research includes sensor-fusion augmented realist (AR) interfaces to extend human perceptions. He is the principal investigator of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Public Safety Communication Research Division (NIST PSCR)-funded project “Extreme Reality Telemetry for Public Safety.” His team won the NIST Haptic Interface Challenge in 2019.
