Suman Banerjee

Suman Banerjee is a Professor of Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a leader in the domain of mobile computing and wireless systems. Suman led significant technical projects from design to full deployment, including the design of a wireless communications system that was installed in the West Allis Fire Department’s ambulances and used as the main communication system for these vehicles for more than two years. Today, his research interests include edge computing techniques to support efficient machine learning tasks for object detection, person identification, and more.
