Dr. Regis Kopper is an assistant professor of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a visiting researcher at INESC-ID Lisboa. He directs the Interactive Realities Lab and conducts research on extended reality interfaces and user interface for immersive interactive systems. His work involves interaction design, simulation, and training, with a focus on applications in public safety, health care, and the humanities. Dr. Kopper has received support for his research from various organizations, including FLAD-Portugal, FAPESP-Brazil, Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and National Institute of Standards and Technology. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Computer Science from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) in Brazil, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.
