Peter Hallenbeck

Peter Hallenbeck is a Technical Captain with Orange Rural Fire Department. He has been a volunteer firefighter since 1992, including 22 years as a chief officer. His “day job” for the last 47 years has been as an electrical engineer working in hardware, software and communications embedded design. Since 2011, he has been working exclusively on information management and display systems for front line responders. That system has been used by most of the fire departments in his county since 2012, both to their benefit and as a great test bed for all aspects of response to incidents. He believes that nothing makes someone understand a problem more than trying to solve it.
