Alexander Dimopoulos is a Machine Learning Developer at the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Public Safety Communications Research Division (NIST PSCR) location-based services team, and is focused on applying artificial intelligence with three-dimensional (3D) mapping technology. Before joining NIST PSCR, he studied cognitive science at University of California San Diego, researched machine learning with the Air Force Research Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon, and competed in the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) SubT Robotics Challenge with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratories.
