About Sterling Folden
Chief Sterling Folden has served in the fire service for over 30 years. He is a graduate of the University of Denver and holds a Master of Organizational Leadership focusing on innovation and change, along with a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Development. His service began at the Cherryvale Fire Protection District, climbing through the ranks from Firefighter to Deputy Chief. Sterling has served as a Deputy Fire Chief for 20 years and was integral in two merger processes that led him to his position as Deputy Chief at the Mountain View Fire District. He has experience in many aspects of the fire service, ranging from emergency operations to prevention and administration.
