Salim Patel

Salim Patel is Director of Technology Architecture at AT&T, where he leads the development of FirstNet, the nationwide public safety broadband network. In this role, he oversees end-to-end architecture, solution evaluation, service testing, and the design of mission-critical services tailored for public safety. His team also defines the long-term technology roadmap for FirstNet. With over three decades of experience in the wireless industry, Salim has extensive expertise in network architecture, mobile technologies, cloud computing, and security. He has played key roles in advancing wireless services for public safety and has directed the design and deployment of large-scale commercial and public safety networks. Salim holds an MSEE and MBA from the University of Southern California.
