Jasper Bruner has dedicated over 23 years to Tribal law enforcement and other public safety roles. He began his career as an officer with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Police Department in Okmulgee, Oklahoma working in the Tulsa, OK area. After serving his home state of Oklahoma, Jasper took on law enforcement roles in the State of Washington, working for the Nisqually Tribe in Olympia, Washington, as a patrol officer then for the Neah Bay Public Safety in Neah Bay, Washington, as the Chief of Police. There was a brief period after that Jasper worked for the Tulalip Tribal Police Department as a patrol officer before transitioning to the United States Department of Commerce’s First Responders Network Authority (FirstNet) as the Senior Public Safety Advisor- Nation Tribal Liaison. Now currently serving as the Chief of Police for the Nisqually Tribe. Throughout his tenure in law enforcement, Jasper has managed everything from Police Operations to Emergency Management. These management and operations duties included include EMS, Fire Department, Natural Resources Enforcement, Corrections and Adult Probation programs.
