Gwendolyn Magyar is a seasoned IT Specialist with over a decade of experience supporting public safety, telecommunications, and military communications systems. She currently serves the Green Bay Fire Department, where she leads critical IT initiatives—including cloud transitions, software integrations, and operational technology support—to ensure first responders are equipped with reliable, secure infrastructure.
Her background includes roles at the Washington State Department of Transportation and the City of Yakima, where she managed statewide telecommunications networks, radio infrastructure, and enterprise systems supporting emergency services. Gwen also served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant (SGT) and Signal Support Systems Specialist, where she supervised communication systems, maintained local area network (LAN)/wide area network (WAN) networks, and administered secure access for over 600 users.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity, an Associate of Science in Electronic and Computer Engineering, and is currently pursuing a bachelor's in computer science with a concentration in Data Analysis.
