About Brett Johnson

Brett Johnson is a senior public safety advisor for the First Responder Network Authority. Prior to joining the FirstNet Authority, Brett served for 36 years with local, federal, military, state, and tribal law enforcement agencies, primarily in Oregon. Brett spent more than 23 years with the Medford Police Department in Oregon, where he held various positions in operations, administration, and investigations, before retiring as Deputy Chief in 2019. Brett worked as a consultant for the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians in Southern Oregon, where he created the Cow Creek Tribal police department and was selected as the department’s first Police Chief. Brett has an MBA from Corban University and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy session 250 and Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security Executive Leaders Program.
