Outdoor Tech Demo: Drones, caches, and engines, oh my!

The Redmond Police Department joins 5x5 to provide a peek into their drone as a first responder (DFR) program. The department uses unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to help officers assess scenes before ground units arrive, providing invaluable intelligence about how, where, and when to deploy ground units. Join us inside as they walk us through the remote launch of a drone in response to a test scenario, then venture outside to see technology in action. While you are outside, visit the additional assets belonging to the Seattle Fire Department, Bellevue Fire Department, and other local agencies.
