The North Carolina 911 Board will share their experience testing the FirstNet Wireless Redundant Solution and then implementing it in response to Hurricane Helene. On October 25, the solution was deployed for a public safety answering point (PSAP) whose infrastructure for their last mile carrier was obliterated. That PSAP ran solid for one month with the FirstNet connectivity, receiving and processing 911 calls. They will share best practices and lessons learned from rolling out this solution to various PSAPs across North Carolina.
