Rachel Axten is a doctoral candidate at the Pennsylvania State University Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Research Laboratory and a Pathways intern at the NASA Langley Dynamic Systems and Control Branch. Her research interests include vehicle dynamics, adaptive control, and UAS autonomy with a focus on hybrid vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft configurations. In support of her research work, she is a Federal Aviation Administration Part 107 certified drone pilot and private pilot.
