Shaping the Future of Public Safety Communications Technology

Tue, December 8 @ 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM Mountain Time

As fire and EMS increasingly rely on broadband, smart devices, and data-driven operations, ensuring these technologies perform reliably in life-or-death situations is critical. Join the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Public Safety Communications Research (NIST PSCR) division for a deep dive into the future of first responder technology. As the primary federal laboratory conducting research and development of technology for use on the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network, NIST PSCR’s focus is to bridge the gap between commercial tech capabilities and first responder requirements. In this session, attendees will hear a high-level program overview and learn about cutting-edge R&D projects shaping the next generation of first responder operations within PSCR’s Location-Based Services and User Experience portfolios.
