A Broadband Interoperability Platform - Connecting disparate broadband PTT

Broadband push-to-talk (PTT) is coming to public safety, however many of these systems — standards compliant and proprietary — cannot communicate with each other. Catalyst has developed technology, with assistance from the Department of Homeland Security and the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Public Safety Communications Research Division (NIST PSCR), that enables communications between disparate PTT applications on smartphones. Visitors will experience different PTT over broadband systems interoperating using this technology. In addition, participants will see PTT-LMR communications demonstrated.
